‘Who Forted?’ Exhibit • Creative Direction
Project Overview: Who Forted? is a beloved engineering exhibit at the Kentucky Science Center, known for sparking curiosity in visitors for years. In partnership with Buffalo Construction, the exhibit was completely rebuilt, and I was tasked with providing creative and brand direction to refresh and elevate the exhibit’s visual identity. This included designing a new logo, creating a cohesive color palette, and developing all exhibit signage. My goal was to preserve the exhibit's fun, interactive spirit while giving it a modern, polished look that aligns with the Science Center’s mission to inspire hands-on learning for all ages.

The Solution: To ensure flexibility and scalability for future exhibit needs, I developed a simple, template-based design for the signage. This approach allows for easy updates or expansions to the exhibit, without the need for a complete redesign. The color palette was carefully chosen to balance the playful, vibrant energy of the Science Center with the bold, industrial feel inspired by Buffalo Construction’s branding and the colors typically seen on construction sites. By incorporating these elements, the design maintains a connection to the sponsor while also preserving the fun, engaging atmosphere that guests love. The result is a cohesive, adaptable visual identity that enhances the exhibit’s interactive experience and ensures it can grow seamlessly with future developments.
